Judge Chris Martin

It is an honor to serve as the Judge of the 294th District Court.

Prior to taking the bench in 2019, I served as the elected Criminal District Attorney of Van Zandt County from 2011-2018. Before my service as D.A., I served as an assistant prosecutor in both Van Zandt and Henderson Counties from 2006-2010.

After graduating from Canton High School in 1996, I attended Kilgore College and then later earned my bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Arlington with honors. After graduating from college, I attended the Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M Law School) and graduated in late 2005. I was licensed to practice law by the state of Texas in 2006.

My family and I are proud to call Van Zandt County home and I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve this great county and state.
